Indonesia Visa for Nepali Citizens

Short answer: Nepali passport holders should confirm and obtain the appropriate Indonesian visa before travel unless Indonesia’s official immigration portal specifically confirms eligibility for another facility for their passport and travel purpose.
Do not assume that the visa-on-arrival rules applying to other nationalities also apply to Nepal.

Indonesia’s immigration authority requires passports used for applicable visitor entry facilities to generally have at least six months’ validity, and entry permission remains subject to the immigration officer even when an electronic visa has been granted.

- return or onward flight;
- accommodation details;
- proof of funds;

- any sponsor information required by the selected visa.

Travelling to Bali
A visa for Indonesia covers entry into Indonesia; Bali does not issue a separate national visa.
You may still encounter local visitor charges or destination-specific requirements that are separate from immigration.

- assuming Bali has separate immigration rules;
- using unofficial visa websites without checking the government portal;
- submitting a passport scan with cropped edges;
- having different names across flight, hotel and visa records;
- booking non-refundable arrangements before understanding visa risk; and
- assuming approval guarantees entry.
